Le Charvay

His Story:

This folding model is a tribute to my grandfather Charles, a bookbinder and gilder of antique books, and himself the son of a harness maker. Coming from a family line of artisans, we share the same creative spirit.

"Vay" (a contraction of "vol" (flight) and "way") evokes soaring towards the sky and the freedom of the birds he loved so much in his lifetime.

"Even gone, the one I loved continues to guide me, light and majestic like the flight of birds of prey."
